Big Boy Room

I have been working on this big boy room for H for quite some time now. It all started when I found these antique twin beds– I knew right away that I had to have them! I decided to paint them red, which is a little bold for me but I LOVE how they turned out. (Thank you mom for the push!) The room is slowly coming together which is fine by me since I want the room to feel and be collected. I kept his dresser and a few accessories from his nursery, like this beautiful painted bear from a friend, the anchor hook, and all of his favorite stuffed animals. I love that we were able to transition these pieces into his new room (that was my intent when I started his nursery!)

If you know me, you know I love a monogram. I think this monogrammed sham makes the whole room! I need to order one more for the other twin bed. I also have my eye on some brass sconces like these to add above each bed.

The gingham sheets are from Serena & Lily and the plaid quilt is L.L.Bean. I love having tons of baskets and bins around for extra blankets, toys, books, stuffed animals… list goes on.

I love this room so far! It feels really homey to me and I can’t wait to watch our little guy enjoy it. You can shop the links below to get the look!
